I'm in a very conservative manufacturing powerhouse area. Central WI is so diverse with small business that it keeps cost of living based mostly on tangible product. Kenosha is an extension of Chicago as far as most of us are concerned. They're learning a lesson right now. Milwaukee is still very balanced as compared to most other metro areas. My guts tell me WI will go red over this next election...practical folk when the rubber meets the road. and then there is Madison....Ick!
The balance of population to landmass 3.8 mil to 2 mil rural to urban....these are good ratios today.

Lived in Lubbock years ago...loved the people. Especially out in farm or ranch country.

Hmmm.....How far east in WI? Kenosha? I hope not. "If" he wants primarily conservative viewpoints, I lived in Texas for years and now Tennessee. Both decidedly conservative especially the smaller towns.
