    Centralized power causes the corruption which causes more centralized power, etc.
    That positive feedback creates disaster and destroys individual liberty.
    Powerful central government must be eliminated for a return to freedom.

    This is what happens when one puts political idiots in a position of power and all they are directed to do is to develop asinine solutions to perceived problems that don't actually exist. The idiots "feel" good, the party is happy, and the rest of us suffer the consequences.
