See all the clips of people threatening violence over SNAP stopping next month? That'll be interesting. Granny better watch her back at the grocery store next month. Sad it's coming to this, really.

It's time for ALL SNAP AND OR EBT recipients to be required to certify their income and family status at the very least every 2 years if not every year. Those same rantings are coming from those claiming to have 8 children one man said he does not work to spend his days with his 5 children. Another says someone reporter her influencer income she has 2 high end vehicles and a huge expense house.

or just eliminate it. Charities will form. Charities were a big, real thing before FDR set up Welfare and they all went away. Giving stuff to people should be voluntary, not by government force, The Government is a terrible place for altruism and sympathy!

Yes, IMO, when government is petitioned to form an army of bullies to slap some citizens around in order to create a "charity" for other citizens some may think they have created a benevolent government, but all they really did in the end is create a government with an army of bullies that can slap around all citizens.

Easy for us to say, Thor.
But it's my daughter and the grandparents I worry about. Because you know that "You and I" are not their go to targets... Because we are prepared.

But I am reminded, my father was 1st Generation American. From Poland. He was TOO ASHAMED to ask for help or food stamps. We stripped the plastic off of junk copper wire for extra grocery money. TV was off anyways because we couldn't afford the electricity in those months.

I BEGGED my father to sign for the free lunch program for me in 4th grade when a teacher noticed I wasn't buying milk, and I only had a sandwich in my lunch bag.
Everyone else had a piece of fruit, a dessert, etc. And "Metal Lunchboxes... OMG, they were RICH!" LOL.

I remember getting the notification I was approved.

We drank powdered milk in our cornflakes. No sugared cereals. I had NO IDEA there were Food Stamp Programs. (Circa 1970s).

My father paid a huge price for not graduating from high school (but eventually became a Master Electrician when his "side boss" Izzy Eisenberg told hem he could do it, and helped encourage him from Journey Man's all the way through!"

The kindness of that man left a mark on me. He dropped off a full Thanksgiving dinner for our family of 6 more than once!

But my dad wasn't asking for food stamps, and was likely too proud to ask until his dying breath.

Now I see the abuse and cringe.

PS: Don't feel bad for me for ONE SECOND.
It turns out, NOT HAVING... And BEING HUNGRY...

Is REALLY F***ing Motivating. I got good grades, scholarships, learned to work the system a bit to get out of (the greater Detroit area).... And NEVER looked back!

And I learned to be like Mr. Izzy...
I've delivered many a Thanksgiving dinners volunteering back in the day. And we always invite extra people, or people who we know that don't have family...
Because it's not worth having things if you can't share with good people!

Like the communist taking over NYC, this behavior is negative and will have negative consequences. However, it will ILLUMINATE bad behavior and a bad example the world can withdraw from.

I can relate to being poor being motivating. I often think that drives me...Thinking back to going to the local high school to help my dad mop the showers when I was 8 years old. I get that...

Ha, back in the '70s I recall moving the washers and dryers in the apartment complex in hopes of finding a quarter or two, LOL! We were doing ok. Never on relief. However, there should be no stigma of accepting charity in a down moment of life - just endeavor not to make that down moment a life.

No. Not Sad. More than past time.
I don't want it all stopped. But I do want to put a 60-90 day mandate in place. Re-apply and show why the taxpayer should be saddled with feeding you and your cum trophies.
