Atlas Shrugged Dream Cast, Revisited

Here I return to an earlier theme: what actors, among the greatest anyone could name, would make the best Atlas Shrugged cast? And by the way: price no object.

So here are my suggestions:

Dagny Taggart: Tilda Swinton. (She'd need a lot of make-up to look as young as she did in "The Chronicles of Narnia," but she could manage it.)

Henry Rearden: Daniel Craig (Or if we had done it a lot earlier, Laurence Harvey)

John Galt: Pierce Brosnan

Francisco d'Anconia: Antonio Banderas

Ragnar Danneskjöld: Dolph Lundgren (or perhaps Arnold Schwarzenegger)

Lillian Rearden: Christina Ricci

Mother Rearden: Angela Lansbury

Hugh Akston: Patrick Stewart

Midas Mulligan: Bruce Greenwood

Robert Stadler: Kurtwood Smith

Floyd Ferris: Peter Weller

Jim Taggart: Danny DeVito

Any other ideas?

    I think he is perfect. I first saw him in The Count of Monte Cristo. He was also in The Passion of the Christ. He has great range and is conservative in his political views which makes him closer to us than most Hollywood elitist.

    I don't know Jim Caviezel well enough. All I know is: John Galt has to be a bit of a cold fish. He has to give a lot of stern lessons. Remember the description of his radio voice: "a man's cold, implacable voice, the kind of voice that had not been heard on the airwaves for years." He also has to forbid Ragnar to describe his meeting with Hank Rearden.

    people love these posts. I wanted Kurt Russel to be Ragnar. there. I did it. first time I ever said who I wanted in AS...except to say-I hope the mini-series is an all Asian cast.
