I was talking to a professor and I told him I had just read the Government (State I believe) was going to increase the funding for College grants. At the time I thought it was a good idea. He said it wouldn't make a difference for the students because any time funding increased the schools just raised tuition enough to take it. Don't be surprised that everyone who may get their student loans "forgiven" will be charged by the IRS as taxable income & thus will have to pay taxes on something that they didn't pay on.
