How long before this test is required by insurance companies?

What could insurance companies do with this information if the test worked and they had full access to the results?

    They can't do that with health insurance, but maybe it will happen with life insurance. I do think these tests will eventually predict early death. It's getting harder to spread the risk of illness as we get better at predicting it.

With all the test some insurance companies require, they may be doing it now.

Considering how often we hear stories about doctors telling injured and sick people they're going to die soon, only to have those same people go on to make a full recovery, I wouldn't put too much stock into these tests.
