WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration acknowledged for the first time Wednesday that four American citizens have been killed in drone strikes since 2009 in Pakistan and Yemen.

    Upon reading the story, it appears that the citizen was Anwar al-Awlak, a radical Muslim cleric.

    So yes, he was technically an American citizen, but he was also a radical Islamist living in Yemen. Lines of nationality aren't always clear-cut.
