Teachers are being told that the brains of the current generation of children are different and that we need to teach them differently, all due - apparently - to their use of technology starting at an early age.

I agree screen time is bad. It's sad, though, that for many people "I think it's bad" has become basically the same thing as "it should be banned."

If individual parents want to impose such a ban for their own children, that's fine. Irrational, but fine.

However, for such a ban to occur at a level of authority higher than that of the parents would constitute a rather gross infringement of personal freedom and individual liberty...
