solar freaking roadways

I think that this is a good replacement for the kilometers of idle roads. Harness ambient light to charge hybrid-electric vehicles, de-icing in winter, programmable lane and parking signage, culverts to carry fibre-optic cables and water on opposite sides.

    Good luck with that! After this past winter - with weeks on end of sub zero temps - I don't give it much chance of being able to stay clear.

    The libtards would just pass a law that dirt wouldn't be allowed on the solar panels. Problem solved.

    The other problem is that the efficiency of solar panels declines relatively quickly. You'd be replacing panels are a rather fast rate. There's also the problem of durability. Things fall on the roadways which would break the panels. Snow plows would tear them up.

    the problem is dirt. In almost any condition a layer of some type of debris will cover roadways, cutting the efficiency of the solar collection. I did not see in the video any answer for this
