    People should quit wasting their money on food and shelter and buy more computers instead.

    Mexico is running about 40% of the US in cost of living. In other words are money down here has maintained it' 2000 value. Even so three tacos for a dollars at 12.5 the old exchange rate is now 20 to esos at 18 to the dollar the new exchange rate. Still it converts valued less dollars into valued more dollars. compared to US. And you don't have to take your life in your hands at Taco Hell or Jack In The Crack.
