‘Breatharian’ couple survives on ‘the universe’s energy’ instead of food

I do not even know where to begin to analyze if this is true, fake, mystic or what. I know there are a lot of things I do not understand about how the universe works, but this just seems so off the track as to be something one would think would be a scientific goldmine. The claims are a bit off the wall, but I do not want to be closed minded to new data.

There is a trick to help remember it. The numbers are in order. Then you just have to add in the words.

Redwoods in the Pacific Northwest are able to and in fact have to take water out of the air (fog). To grow as tall as they do gravity apparently limits how much water can go up from the roots.

You remind me of the old memory game of yore. You entice a person to repeat after you and it starts easy and gets progressively more difficult as the longer repeats accumulate. I haven't tried remembering this for 30 years:
    1 duck.
    2 Chickens.
    3 squawking geese.
4 pair of Don Alverzo's tweezers.
    5 corpulent porpoises.
6 brass monkey from the ancient sacred crypts of Egypt.
7 thousand Macedonians in full battle array.
8 peripatetic, diabetic old men on roller skates with a marked propensity toward procrastination and sloth.
9 dark denizens of the deep, who haul, stall, and fall, around the quo, of the quay, of the quivvy.
If you are only serious about the posts as a contributor or a reader -- SORRY.

Nope, although our neighbors who came from Kalifornia did push the envelope with 300 alpacas on 3 acres, and never picking up manuer for 3 years. Finally we had a lawsuit, but it took 75 dead animals for the county to finally step in. We have 20 acres, but only 7 are usable, the other 13 are "goat land". We also have 2 goats, which are as entertaining as most little kids, and about the same amount of trouble.

There was popular skepticism, but science wasn't saying it wasn't possible by that time. There had been research into heavier than air flying machines for years and gliders were already successful. The government was already seeking a practical solution for military purposes by 1898. By the time the Wright brothers were privately researching and developing it was already a race to be the first to make it work. They had a much more systematic and creative approach.

We are. Have 7 horses, 2 dogs, several cats and 3 chickens. One rooster, 2 hens, which sort of showed up one day and decided they liked us. They give eggs, we give feed...mutual symbiosis. Rooster is actually a cool bird, beautiful and nice, not ornery at all.

That is true....but they are my best example of when science says "no", it is not always right. Nor can tabloids be used as reference..

The Wright brothers did bring together an enormous amount of scientific and engineering knowledge to calculate how to do what they knew was possible. It wasn't a stab in the dark. Some of their competitors were more interested in the tabloid publicity and government funding approach, towards which you are expected to have an "open mind".

Your nasal passages wouldn't even accept a quality German import at much less than half the 4,000lb weight?

I got the joke and I smiled.
I could have gotten cornier with a response which said I got a real good falcon out of it.
You keep chickens? You must be very rural.
